It is soluble in oil and other organic solvents and has good emulsifying properties. It is used as a lipophilic emulsifier to prepare w/o type emulsions. In some organic synthesis reactions, it is a reaction medium that can shorten the reaction time and increase the reaction conversion rate. For example, in the polymerization of plastic polyvinyl chloride, it is used as a bulking agent to not only make the polyvinyl chloride molding particles uniform, but also prevent the reaction from sticking to the pan.
